Reticulum, Finally on iOS

The Reticulum ecosystem has been waiting for a native iPhone client. R3Tina is it — built from the ground up in Swift, fully spec-compliant, and ready to join your mesh.

🔒

End-to-End Encrypted

Ed25519 signatures, X25519 key agreement, and AES-256-CBC + HMAC-SHA256 encryption — fully spec-compliant with the Reticulum reference implementation.

📶

True Mesh Networking

Your phone is a full Reticulum node. Connect via Bluetooth, TCP, or UDP. Packets are relayed through the mesh automatically.

💬

LXMF Messaging

Full LXMF protocol support with delivery receipts, message deduplication, and persistent conversation storage.

🗺

GPS Node Mapping

See location-sharing peers on a live map. Tap any node to view details or start a conversation.

🚫

No Servers Required

No accounts, no cloud, no central infrastructure. Your identity is a keypair stored locally in your device's secure enclave.

🔍

Peer Discovery

Automatically discover nearby nodes through announce propagation. Tap to connect and start messaging instantly.

Get Connected in Seconds

1

Launch & generate your identity

A unique Ed25519 + X25519 keypair is created automatically and stored securely in your iOS Keychain. This is your mesh identity.

2

Add an interface

Connect via Bluetooth to reach nearby peers, TCP to reach internet-connected nodes, or UDP for local network discovery.

3

Discover & communicate

Peers appear automatically through announce propagation. Tap any node to start an encrypted conversation or view them on the map.

Powered by Reticulum

R3Tina is a clean-room native Swift implementation of the Reticulum networking stack and LXMF messaging protocol. It's the only way to bring your iPhone into the Reticulum mesh — fully interoperable with Sideband, NomadNet, and every other Reticulum node on the network.

Reticulum can operate over any transport medium — from Bluetooth and WiFi to LoRa radio and packet radio — making it ideal for scenarios where traditional internet infrastructure is unavailable. R3Tina puts that entire ecosystem in your pocket.

Privacy Policy

Overview

R3Tina is designed with privacy as a core principle. The app operates as a peer-to-peer mesh networking client with no central servers, no user accounts, and no cloud storage.

Data Collection

R3Tina does not collect, transmit, or store any personal data on external servers. All data remains on your device:

Bluetooth

R3Tina uses Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) to communicate directly with nearby Reticulum peers. BLE is used solely for mesh networking packet relay. No Bluetooth data is collected or stored beyond the active network session.

Advertising

R3Tina uses Google AdMob to display banner advertisements. AdMob may collect device identifiers and usage data in accordance with Google's Privacy Policy. You can opt out of personalized ads in your iOS Settings under Privacy & Security > Apple Advertising.

Third-Party Services

The only third-party service integrated is Google AdMob for advertising. No analytics, crash reporting, or telemetry services are used.

Data Retention

All data is stored locally on your device. Deleting the app removes all stored data including your identity, messages, and settings.
